KYAN’s Optim.AI™ functional precision medicine platform is strengthened by our deeply characterized, proprietary biobank of patient-derived models.
This library enables high-fidelity drug response profiling on the Optim.AI™ system and allows for rapid project initiation, supporting preclinical and translational oncology programs.
With approximately 100 clinically annotated models, our biobank offers a rich foundation for evaluating therapeutic response and optimizing combination strategies in ex vivo, patient-relevant systems. The biobank enhances every stage of our drug development partnerships, ensuring that Optim.AI™ studies begin with clinically meaningful material and deliver results that closely mirror patient biology.
By leveraging our models and platform, investigators can:
♦ Evaluate novel or approved compounds on primary patient-derived tumor samples ex vivo.
♦ Identify synergy patterns across diverse genetic and phenotypic backgrounds.
♦ Compare sensitivity profiles within and across cancer subtypes using quantitative viability and response metrics.
♦ Generate translational datasets linking drug response with clinical and mutational annotations to guide next-phase development.
Our in-house repository includes anonymized, ethically consented samples spanning:
♦ Hematological malignancies
♦ Solid tumors
Sarcoma, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, ovarian and peritoneal carcinomas, gastric cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer.
Each model is derived from fresh primary patient samples such as bone marrow aspirates, pleural or ascitic fluid, and lymph node biopsies.a
Each sample is obtained under IRB-approved, HBRA-compliant consent and processed under standardized protocols to preserve biological integrity. All materials are anonymized and used solely for research purposes within KYAN-led or collaborative studies. Data generated through Optim.AI™ remain fully de-identified. Biological materials are not for sale or transfer.
