Background
The management of metastatic soft tissue sarcoma presents a significant clinical challenge once the disease progresses beyond standard first- and second-line therapies due to treatment resistance. Innovative strategies that move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach and towards personalized medicine could support in overcoming this resistance. Functional Precision Medicine (FPM), which assesses the response of a patient’s living cancer cells to various drugs, represents a novel approach to guide therapy in such refractory cases.
In this poster we present the case of a 65-year-old female with an initial diagnosis of Solitary Fibrous Tumor which later developed into Leiomyosarcoma. This poster describes how this patient was able to achieve a significant partial response after treatment with an Optim.AI™-guided therapy.
